Office Politic
Talk to my friend recently, about office politic. For me, so far I think there is no office politic here? Or I don’t realize it exist here, or may be I don’t bother about those stupid office politic, because it won’t generate income for me nor it’s not good for me(i believe karma exist!!). In mandarin, we have a word said “two snake head” – “两头蛇”/’双面人”, a person who say Ali is bad in front of Ah Chong; and say Ah Chong is bad in front of Ali. I am wondering is that this “kind” of people got nothing to do but talking cock and talk about people during tea time, lunch time or breakfast? Well, office politic exist because of benefit? I am not too sure, but if it is benefit, well.. I think the person like to talk about people is “STUPID”? because of can’t do/perform something and then only know to talk? Instead of talking about people but not use the time to do something meaningful? Haha, there is only 3 type of person in office;
– Wait thing happen -> don’t do anything, but cock/talk
– See thing happen -> want to do, but look how people do, what is the result
– Make Thing HAPPENED -> this is the person who make something works!
If in office, everybody make thing happen, I think it will be good!
Trust
Is “TRUST” / “信” exist in this world? I don’t trust Friend/Best Friend, the reason is I do not want to hurt myself when your Friend/Best Friend betray you. For me, I only “TRUST”/ “信” my family and my love one. You won’t know, sometime the friend/best friend you trust, may be the best one who betray you, because they know you trust them, and is good to cheat. Why I said this, because my friend betrayed by his good friend, and he felt hurt. Haha, this is normal, I been hurted once on TRUST 2 years ago. I always tell my friend I said “TRUST” is on my mouth, not from my heart. But which person I trust, only I can know 🙂 Not more than my right hand fingers I guess. You will think I am so bad, don’t trust friend. I just want to protect myself ma, later get hurt again, how wor? heheh…. This is WORLD, not WONDERFUL WORLD
Workout & PHP Meet Up
Haih, diarrhea this morning, didn’t go gym. sob* sob* wasted one day.
Felt great tonight, I invited John Lim, the “man” who created ADODB to speak during PHP Meet Up tonight. John Lim’s product PHPLens is excellent, it sold to company in oversea, it can support most of the popular databases like MySQL, Ms SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and etc. It has more than 300 properties and the application is still understand upgrading everyday! Well, what I can say … John Lim rocks! with his PHPLens. Feel free to read his blog!
California Fitness
Max – Da dino late for our schedule, our plan was meeting with Max and Eric at Bangsar LRT at 7:15am, then go to California Fitness to workout. But then my friend Max reach Bangsar LRT station around 7:35am, when the time we get to california fitness was 8:05am. We miss the breakfast session because of him. Hope he can make it earlier tomorrow morning. Haha, sound healthy for us? Wake up 6:30am in the morning get our ass to Mid Valley to workout? Heheh, hell of… my stomach/tummy is getting bigger and bigger, I just want to do some exercise, no more street soccer or futsal for me, because hard to match time, and my time is really bad, I have unfinish works all the time. So I decided go to workout in fitness center 🙂

Today is public holiday wor, but we also need to work wor, sien. No jam this morning, from house to office only 10mins, normally took about 20-25mins to reach office. Nobody come early today, Sogua is the first who reach office and siting at the mamak wait somebody to open the door. Today the weather is warm, you can see Sogua sweating, so kho lian tai.

星 is asking me what image browser am I using for WordPress. Here is the list of wordpress plugin, a lot of plugin you can play with. I am using Iimage browser for my wordpress, simple and straight forward for the installation, upload the files and configure the setting. Well 星, I think you are better than me on configuration right? 🙂
Soma – Jaring Wireless
One of the office colleague subscribed to Jaring wireless. Using the Soma? device, the hardware “LOOK” nice. Max tested the connection, doesn’t seem stable and disconnected once in a while. The cons is it do not have wireless signal indicator, which mean you can’t know how strong is the signal on your current location. Beside that, you don’t even know what is the current status the wireless is. Well, if you house do not have TMNuts Streamyx, you can try Jaring SOMA, how is the performance? Not recommend if you not really need the internet. 😉

Lunch time, normal we have lunch between 1:30pm – 2:30pm. I found out we lunch earlier that last time, we use to lunch @ 2:30pm or 3pm. Beside that, it’s hard to get everybody ass up and lunch together. Now I found a good way, walk and don’t wait for them, who you think you are? wait you.. nah… hahahaha.
Today somebody FFK me, said will be stand by with me til 9pm, but he said tired wanna go back rest. Sigh! nvm, I can do research on Prado and finish up my work.

Today, is our Editor – Mr Kabilan birthday. How old is him? Well, not too old, not too young, in the middle stage. heheh… As usual, we will buy a cake and celebrate with da staff, this time I took the job and bought a cake from Angel cake house in Bangsar Telawi during lunch.
Mr Sogua “sipek” smart, can’t find a place in the frige, and he put it in the freeze place. Luckily din’t put so long, else wasted my effort. I think he purposely one la, because Max and Me did something to him, heheh..
Suddently interested to take SAP certified paper, but kinda expensive, around 25K for 3 months part time course. Should I invest into it? Well, I need to do more research on that, see how demanding is the market for now and in the future. Need to get more info from Julius, he got a SAP in HR.
Looking at the e-book writen by Zeev Suraski and Andi Gutmans(they are the god of PHP and founder of ZEND). Malaysia PHP User Group May meet up is on next week Thursday 26th May 2005, I manage to get John Lim from ADODB to give a talk on? ADODB lo. After finish the work work work and due to the heavy rain aftre work, plan to send sogua back to home. But before that, have to think about my dinner, where to “ciak”? hmm.. some where that we will not caught in rain. So I suggested KL Sentral. Ah Max, Ah Chua and Ah Paul. 3 of us to to KL Sentral, petrol around look for a place to dine. If you ask them make decision, I think until 12am they also don’t know where to “ciak”. Again, I suggested my favourite fast food restaurant – KFC!
Ei, before that. Lin went something wrong! Why? Heavy rain, and his car parked 500m far away from our office, when we are leaving to KL Sentral. Supricing he didn’t ask me go give him a lift to get his car. How come? Well.. I think I bully him too much and make him fear to ask for help from me? Heheh, well… If he don’t ask I also need to sek zhou la right? So.. I open my heart and offer him a lift. 🙂

Yes, I got my IBM Thinkpad X40. It’s really great, light, durable! On performance side, it’s good enough for me(I only develop web application coding ma, and I don’t play game).

Unix/Linux? No to Danny
Hahaha, Friday evening, while I am playing with WINE and CrossOver Office, Danny said it’s cool, he said will run Linux on his laptop from Friday night! I just received a sms from him “I will install back windows.. …” Heh, I think that photoshop & Flash MX don’t really works on WINE or CrossOver, for time being, due to new project need a lot of designing, I will still with Windows, until I can find a stable Window Emulator
