Most likely this is the only writing post for 2021, the rest of the posts on this blog are just photo feeding from Instagram photos that I randomly posted.

Do people still read blogs? I was looking through the blog posts and comments from bloggers during the prime time in 2000+ era. We have petalingstreet (pps if I remember correctly) to ping your article and have it published on the feed, and we only ping during prime time. i.e Friday/Saturday evening. We made blogger friends from there.

Because of Facebook, Twitter, Medium, YouTube and etc. Those blogs that I followed, mostly has been shut down, or domain has not been renewed. I am still helping my friends like jeremiahfoo.com (The most hacked blog during 200x) and smoothriver.net to renew the domain, I think I doing a great job on this, to keep their domain alive and they keep their blog alive.

This blog started back in 2005, that time I was still very naive, don’t write very well (even now also I don’t write very well), started was because thinking it would be fun became part time so called “writer” while working with fellow journalists in malaysiakini.com also started due to a buddy of mine SoGua aka Chua asked me to start, at the same time I also push and “encourage” him to start his own blog as well.  He is also one of the very rare to keep the blog running (not sure does he patch the wordpress regularly).

When the blog just started in 2005, it was purely a words kind of blog, no image. Maybe some of the post is like Tweet, less than 280 characters in a post. Later on when there was plugins to post photo in Blog is a big thing.
