Data recovery on server has been done. The 21GB data is burnt into 6 DVDs. The 6 DVDs cost us a lot of money 🙂

Ruby on Rails successfully installed and configured on FreeBSD6.0 machine! I have followed the simple tutorial on Rails website and it amazed me, you can create a simple data entry apps in less than 5 mins, no more mysql_query.. just some simple codes.. Nepali Times new website was done in August 2005, there has been a lot of bugs fixed went on for the pass 5 months and Bhushan was busy to get new people doing data entry for the previous articles for achieve.

Have been playing with Ajax recently, and I have did some research on it as well(during holidays).
Well, I have tried using Sajax to create a dynamic table for data editing. By using Sajax toolkit, it can be done in less than 15mins(depend on your needs).

I have configured pure-ftpd using FreeBSD ports(usually compiled from source). After everything have setup, postgresql, db, table, users and etc, it seem like cannot connect into the server with the below message…
Dec 19 16:34:14 server pure-ftpd: (?@60.48.150.26) [WARNING] Can’t login as [takizo]: account disabled
After few hours of checking, I found the cause of the problem is the UID and GID I set was low than 1000, if you have the similar problem, try to set a higer UID and GID. Better in the range of 5000(my own opinion).
